I was honored to speak at #PeaceCon2024 in #WashingtonDC, which was co-hosted by @USIP and @AfPeacebuilding.
During the important session organized by @Eurpeace, we discussed the local and political context in #Yemen and focused on the environmental crises that are adding more tensions and suffering. We emphasized the critical role of peace pathways and inclusive approaches in addressing the complex challenges facing Yemen, including conflict, environmental degradation, and social and economic inequalities that cannot be effectively tackled in the midst of armed conflict.
I extend my gratitude to the organizers, @Eurpeace and esteemed distinguished speakers @DrMaeenSaeed, @abdulsalamalawi, @omeisy, and @albert_mase, for their invaluable insights.
