A special session was held today at the ongoing #ATDF2024 on the place of distributed ledger technology (DLT) and Artificial Intelligence in enhancing transparency, efficiency, and trust in customs operations. The session explored the avenues of integrating AI solutions in customs operations to increase revenue, empower human decision making and optimise efficiency.

Speakers shared insights from @KRACorporate, @rrainfo, @AGLgroup_as well as the @jumuiya on the successful use of digital technology in enhancing operational efficiency in Customs management.

From the experiences, the consensus was that embracing digital innovations can enhance efficiency, security and transparency in trade, driving Africa’s competitiveness in the global market.
