Regime changes are always revolt of elites and as such must be led by the current elites. Check transitions in Spain, Romania, and most fascist and communist regimes in Europe.

We are self-hosting right now on Google Cloud VMs, although migrating into CH cloud atm.

The pace of innovation of these guys is very high and backwards compatibility is not always perfectly there between versions so you cannot blidnly update in your self-hosted version.

From a performance standpoint, I just have good words.

One maybe "downside" is that their "SQL version" is quite opinionated and for the Data Analysts tends to be a little bit difficult without proper introduction to extract the full capacity of the tech. Nothing unsolvable with a couple LLM searches though!
