@SrRafles@uk_resistant Wouldn't be the first time I make a custom material for postprocess that does the inverse of that. Masking out VFX and any other element tagged properly and only applying post process to the rest of the scene and ninja applying it to all scenes
@Jose_Raluy 🤣 I realized that after publishing the fanmade cinematic last week. One teammate brought it up and I thought we should have waited a couple of days.
Yesterday we published an edit with old vs new cinematic for the anniversary: https://t.co/9tCAdkMQkf
It is also here in 🔥"4K"🔥 quality....at some point, I will upscale the old just to have video quality on these comparisons to be more consistent 😅

There more effects in this cinematic but I really want to bring up the blood effect. This took me quite some time, tried FLIP simulations from #UnrealEngine and #Blender but ended up drawing the frames and animating some drops on it. Happy with the result
More Stuff for #VFXFriday
This sand effect was very subtle on the original cinematic and it was a mix of a layered material using an animated mask and using that same mask to spawn particles on the borders
