@lemke0210@Brentfraser36@Panchenko_X So he was better than a worthless drunkard for a few years, what a high bar to clear! With so many resources, Russia should not have just been "built back up". Its population should have become one of the wealthiest in the world. What's Putin's excuse?
@brivael You're just coupling the straw man argument with the false dichotomy fallacy. Democrats are not the french left, and being progressive doesn't mean making the same mistakes as the French, who are ruined first and foremost because of their pension system.
@WillBeStonks@cparkin2015@Panchenko_X Oh wow, you must be at stage 4 of MAGA brain rot. Hopefully some day you'll realize how embarrassing your behavior is.
@DenWithCat@heather_venter@AmericaRecharge Only twice since 1900: Japan in 1905, but they only took part of an Island, and the Axis and its allies during WWII.
Russia on the other hand has been at it at least 10 times in the same period.
@Alpakanya@elonmusk They would not need to push for it in Russia, Russia desperately wants it for their war. In fact they had it until early this year, and it was taken away from them. Since then, they haven't been able to make any progress on the battlefield.
@DenWithCat@heather_venter@AmericaRecharge The USSR would never have held without help from the USA, Stalin himself admitted it. The Germans would never have been able to invade the USA, so they would have had to face the atomic bomb and therefore defeat anyway.
@DenWithCat@heather_venter@AmericaRecharge Indeed, the Munich agreements were a mistake, it ceded to the morally corrupt states such as Nazi Germany and the USSR out of fear, and allowed them to carry out their malicious intents. But the worse guys here are those who commit the bad deeds, not those who let them.
@John73080573@ESisernik@AmericaRecharge It's so unfortunate that they didn't, the USSR would have been put in its place like Japan (they didn't yet have the atomic bomb), and after defeat Russia would have carried on to become a very successful and powerful democracy.
