Strategic communication always matters. In this case, it is a must. #Enlargement is not only about negotiations and reforms; it is also about explaining why this process benefits both candidate countries and the European Union itself. Informed public debates are essential to sustaining trust and support for one of Europe’s most successful strategic policies.

For Albania, EU accession remains a national priority and a transformative project. Communicating its progress, challenges, and opportunities accurately is a shared responsibility of institutions, but also of media, and civil society alike. 🇦🇱🇪🇺

Ministri për Evropën dhe Punët e Jashtme, Ferit Hoxha mori pjesë në Takimin Ministror të Procesit të Bashkëpunimit të Evropës Juglindore, #SEECP, çka shënon njëkohësisht edhe 30-vjetorin e këtij procesi.

Ministri theksoi se bashkëpunimi ekonomik dhe integrimi rajonal duhet të mbeten në qendër të përpjekjeve tona të përbashkëta.

"Procesi i Berlinit, Plani i Rritjes, Tregu i Përbashkët Rajonal dhe nismat më të gjera të ndërlidhjes, përfshirë Korridorin VIII dhe projekte të tjera strategjike, vazhdojnë të ofrojnë mundësi konkrete për thellimin e integrimit ekonomik, rritjen e konkurrueshmërisë dhe përmirësimin e jetës së qytetarëve tanë", tha Hoxha.

Rruga jonë drejt anëtarësimit në Bashkimin Evropian, sipas Ministrit, ka hyrë në fazën e saj më dinamike dhe më përcaktuese.

"Objektivi ynë mbetet ambicioz, por realist: përfundimi i negociatave të anëtarësimit brenda vitit 2027 dhe anëtarësimi i plotë deri në vitin 2030. Një proces i suksesshëm zgjerimi, i bazuar në meritë, mund të funksionojë vetëm nëse është i besueshëm dhe i qëndrueshëm nga të dyja palët. 📍 Sofia -- Great to meet with the Foreign Minister of Bulgaria @vpetrova_mfa, reaffirming the strong partnership between Albania and Bulgaria. 🇦🇱🇧🇬

Our discussions highlighted the importance of further deepening political dialogue and expanding cooperation in key areas such as energy, infrastructure and strategic connectivity. In this context, we underscored the significance of #Corridor VIII as a vital link between the Adriatic and Black Sea regions, with substantial potential to enhance trade, mobility and sustainable economic development across #SoutheastEurope.

We also exchanged views on regional and international developments, reaffirming our shared commitment to peace, security, good-neighbourly relations and the European future of the #WesternBalkans. Albania highly values Bulgaria’s consistent support for our EU accession process and its continued advocacy for a credible enlargement policy.

We further highlighted the important role of national minorities in our respective countries as bridges of friendship and cooperation.

📍 Dublin -- Always a distinct moment to engage with civil society and the think tank community.

I was pleased to participate in a roundtable discussion at the Institute of International and European Affairs @IIEA, engaging in a thoughtful and forward-looking exchange on “Albania’s European Journey”, a journey that has now entered its most dynamic, demanding, and consequential phase since the country embarked on its democratic transformation more than three decades ago.

The discussion provided an excellent opportunity to reflect on Albania’s reform progress, the renewed momentum behind EU enlargement, and the opportunities and responsibilities that lie ahead as we advance towards our strategic objective of European Union membership. We also discussed the broader dynamics of EU #enlargement at a time when geopolitical developments have reinforced the strategic importance of a credible and merit-based accession process.

We reflected on Ireland’s longstanding support for enlargement and on the important role the upcoming #Irish Presidency of the Council of the European Union can play in advancing discussions on the future of Europe and the integration of aspiring member states.

Our discussions focused in particular on #Albania’s progress and prospects on its path toward EU accession. I had the opportunity to highlight the progress achieved through our #reform agenda and to reaffirm our unwavering commitment to maintaining the strong momentum of the negotiation process, conclude accession negotiations by 2027, and achieve our strategic objective of EU membership by 2030.

We also discussed the importance of preserving a credible, merit-based enlargement process that rewards progress and delivers tangible benefits both to candidate countries and to the EU itself. In today’s geopolitical environment, #enlargement is not only a transformative policy but also a strategic investment in Europe’s security, stability, and resilience.

I expressed Albania’s deep appreciation for Ireland’s consistent support for EU enlargement and wished every success to the upcoming Irish #Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

📍 Dublin, Ireland — A very productive meeting with @HMcEntee, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, reaffirming the excellent bilateral relations between Albania and Ireland. 🇦🇱 🇮🇪

We held a constructive exchange on our shared objective of further strengthening political dialogue and expanding practical cooperation across a range of key sectors.

We agreed on the need to explore concrete opportunities to strengthen our economic partnership, with a particular focus on trade, investment, tourism, digital services, and innovation. I was pleased to highlight the valuable contribution of the Albanian #diaspora in Ireland, which continues to serve as an important bridge between our economies and societies.

In this context, I informed Minister McEntee of the Albanian Government’s decision to open an #Embassy in Dublin in the near future, a significant step that will further deepen our bilateral partnership and enhance cooperation between our two countries.

I expressed our deep appreciation for Ireland’s steadfast support for EU enlargement and for Albania’s #European accession path, particularly as we look ahead to Ireland’s upcoming #Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

I also shared an update on Albania’s steady progress in the accession process, underscoring our strong commitment to maintaining the momentum of reforms as we advance toward the next phase of negotiations, the closing of chapters.

On regional and global developments, we reaffirmed our shared commitment to the stability, security, and prosperity of Europe, including the #WesternBalkans as an integral part of its future.

Notre rencontre a confirmé l’excellence des relations entre l’#Albanie et la #Belgique, ainsi que notre volonté commune d’approfondir le dialogue politique et de renforcer davantage notre partenariat bilatéral.

J’ai salué avec plaisir la décision de la Belgique d’ouvrir une #Ambassade à #Tirana, une initiative concrète et hautement appréciée qui donnera une nouvelle impulsion à notre coopération. Nous avons exprimé notre conviction que cette évolution importante contribuera à développer davantage les échanges économiques, à accroître le commerce et les investissements, à promouvoir le tourisme, à renforcer la coopération dans le domaine des énergies renouvelables et à créer de nouvelles opportunités dans un large éventail de secteurs.

Our meeting reaffirmed the excellent relations between #Albania and #Belgium, as well as our shared commitment to deepening political dialogue and further strengthening our bilateral partnership.

I particularly welcomed Belgium’s decision to open an #Embassy in #Tirana, a concrete and highly appreciated step that will give new momentum to our cooperation. We expressed our confidence that this important development will contribute to expanding economic ties, increasing trade and investment, promoting tourism, advancing cooperation in renewable energy, and creating new opportunities across a wide range of sectors.

🇦🇱 Mirë se vini! Delighted to welcome Albanian Foreign Minister @HoxhaFer to Brussels, a friend and a former diplomat who knows this city inside out from his years as Ambassador here. And unfortunately familiar with the typical Belgian rain showers!

We had a meeting full of good news. Belgium will open an embassy in Tirana, a clear signal of the importance we attach to our relationship. And just last week, Albania became the second EU candidate country to receive the IBAR, entering the concluding phase of accession negotiations. That is a remarkable achievement and one we congratulate Albania for warmly.

Belgium encourages Albania to continue on this path with the same determination, particularly on rule of law, judicial independence and the fight against corruption. The path to membership is merit-based, and Albania is proving it can deliver.

We also discussed our bilateral cooperation on justice, police and the fight against organised crime, as well as Albania's constructive role in regional stability. The Western Balkans are high on my agenda. I look forward to visiting Tirana next year for the opening of our embassy.

📍Brussels -- A moment to celebrate, a moment to cheer, a moment for "Gëzuar".

It was a great pleasure to welcome friends & colleagues from EU Member States and institutions to the #Mission of Albania to the EU in Brussels to celebrate, in keeping with a well-established tradition, a key milestone in Albania’s European journey: the successful outcome of the 8th #Intergovernmental Conference and the positive assessment reflected in the Interim Benchmark Assessment Report, #IBAR.

This achievement is the result of years of sustained effort, political commitment, and far-reaching reforms, often challenging, yet essential, undertaken with determination by the Albanian #Government & institutions. It reaffirms a fundamental principle of the enlargement process: progress is, and must remain, merit-based.

We were particularly pleased to celebrate with the Commissioner for Enlargement, our @MartaKosEU. Her engagement and unwavering commitment as well as that of her team, in Brussels and in Albania, to a credible enlargement process have been instrumental in maintaining momentum and strengthening confidence in the transformative power of the #European project.

We are fully aware that the positive IBAR outcome is both an encouragement and a responsibility. It recognizes how far #Albania has come, while setting the stage for the work that lies ahead. One thing is certain: Albania remains fully committed to advancing reforms, moving steadily toward the closure of negotiating chapters, and fulfilling the aspirations of generations of Albanians who see their future firmly anchored in the #EuropeanUnion.

Today's gathering was therefore not only a celebration of an important achievement, but also an opportunity to express our gratitude to all those who have accompanied and supported Albania along this path: the European Commission and other EU institutions, to all Member States for their understanding, support and encouragement, and all our friends who continue to believe in Albania and in the European future of the #WesternBalkans.

I conveyed Albania’s sincere appreciation for Belgium’s continued support for EU enlargement and, in particular, for our EU accession process, as well as for the constructive bilateral cooperation that has steadily deepened over the years.

Our discussion highlighted the importance of maintaining a strong and regular political dialogue, including through enhanced #parliamentary exchanges, anchored in our shared commitment to a stronger Europe and guided by a practical, results-oriented approach. Parliamentary diplomacy has an important role to play in fostering mutual understanding, supporting reform processes, and bringing our institutions and societies closer together.

We exchanged views on the renewed momentum of EU enlargement and the strategic importance of the #WesternBalkans for Europe’s security, stability, and prosperity. 📍Brussels -- Always a valuable opportunity to meet and exchange views with Members of the @Europarl_EN on issues related to EU enlargement and the broader dynamics shaping Europe’s political agenda.

I was particularly pleased to meet with Albania’s Rapporteur in the European Parliament, Andreas Schieder @SCHIEDER, as well as with Swedish MPs Arba Kokalari @ArbaKokalari and @adnandibrani, both of Albanian descent and outstanding examples of successful integration, civic engagement, and public service in open, democratic, and inclusive European societies.

I thanked the Rapporteur for his excellent work in leading the process on the report on #Albania, adopted last month in the European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs, @EP_ForeignAff.

It was also an occasion to recognize, beyond their work and contribution as MPs, the personal and professional journey of Arba and Adnan, which reflects not only the valuable contribution that Albanians make across Europe, but also the opportunities that free and democratic societies offer to individuals who are committed to hard work, participation, and excellence. They stand as a powerful testament to the strong human ties that connect #Albania with #Europe and to the positive role that #diaspora communities play in strengthening mutual understanding, cooperation, and shared European values. Their success is a source of pride for #Albanians everywhere and a reminder that the European project is ultimately about people, opportunities, and the ability to contribute fully to the societies we call home.

Our discussion focused on the state of play of Albania’s EU accession process, the priorities and work ahead in the ongoing negotiations, and the shared objective of maintaining the current momentum of #enlargement. We also underlined the important role of the European Parliament in supporting a credible, merit-based enlargement process and in advancing the European perspective of the #WesternBalkans.

📍Belgium -- Pleased to engage in a substantive discussion on “EU Enlargement: An Albanian View” at the Egmont – Royal Institute for International Relations. 🇦🇱🇧🇪

Together with a distinguished group of experts, diplomats, policymakers, and think tank representatives, we exchanged views on EU enlargement as a geopolitical imperative and a strategic investment in #Europe’s future.

The discussion highlighted a growing recognition that the future of the #WesternBalkans is inseparable from the future of Europe itself. A stable, secure, democratic, and fully integrated Western Balkans is essential to Europe’s ability to remain geopolitically credible, strategically relevant, and resilient in an increasingly complex international environment.

In #Albania’s case, the EU accession process has proven to be the most powerful catalyst for transformation, driving institutional modernization, strengthening the rule of law, consolidating democratic governance, improving public administration, and advancing economic development. It has also reinforced Albania’s full alignment with the values, policies, and strategic objectives that define the European project.

Such exchanges are invaluable for fostering strategic dialogue, strengthening mutual understanding, and building the broad political and intellectual consensus needed to advance a stronger, more united, and more secure Europe. They are equally important in sustaining an open and informed conversation about the common future, helping to communicate the strategic value of enlargement and European integration both in the candidate countries and the Member States.

🇦🇱🇽🇰Në kuadër të vizitës në Kosovë, zhvillova një takim sa të veçantë aq edhe të përzemërt me përfaqësues të kontingjentit të Forcave të Armatosura të Republikës së #Shqipërisë që shërbejnë në kuadër të misionit të #KFOR-it.

I falënderova për kontributin e tyre të çmuar në përmbushjen e këtij misioni të rëndësishëm dhe i përgëzova për vlerësimet shumë pozitive që gëzojnë nga komanda e KFOR-it, si dëshmi e angazhimit, disiplinës, profesionalizmit dhe përkushtimit të tyre të përditshëm në shërbim të paqes dhe sigurisë.

Ushtarakët tanë përfaqësojnë denjësisht jo vetëm Forcat e Armatosura, por edhe Shqipërinë, vlerat tona euroatlantike dhe traditën e kontributit të vendit tonë në misionet ndërkombëtare të paqes.

Shpreha krenarinë dhe mirënjohjen time për shërbimin e tyre dinjitoz, për sakrificën që bëjnë larg familjeve dhe për përkushtimin me të cilin mbajnë lart flamurin kuqezi në një mision me rëndësi të veçantë për sigurinë dhe stabilitetin e Kosovës, të rajonit tonë dhe të gjithë hapësirës euroatlantike.

Kontributi i tyre është një dëshmi konkrete se Shqipëria mbetet e angazhuar jo vetëm për sigurinë e saj, por edhe për paqen, stabilitetin dhe të ardhmen e përbashkët të rajonit.

Siguria e #Kosovës është një interes strategjik për Shqipërinë, dhe prania e ushtarakëve tanë në KFOR pasqyron solidaritetin tonë të palëkundur me aleatët dhe angazhimin tonë të vazhdueshëm për një Ballkan Perëndimor më të sigurt, më të qëndrueshëm dhe më të integruar.

Faleminderit secilit prej tyre për shërbimin, përkushtimin dhe krenarinë me të cilën përfaqësojnë #Shqipërinë çdo ditë.
