Kid: I don’t want it anymore.
Me: *sigh*
I’m a white teacher who had to teach a small group of white students about systemic racism… It’s hard because who the hell am I to teach them that? I don’t know enough. I don’t know the struggles. But at least, now THEY know it exists.
My first week as an official grownup who rents a place and has a job is over and I already can’t wait to be 65 and retired. Also, trying to prep an English lesson on (cyber)bullying so if anyone has screenshots of mean AO3 comments, that’d be amazing!
It’s August 16th. School starts on September 4th. I still don’t know which grade level(s) I’ll be teaching - there are 11 different ones… Lesson plans be damned, improvisation it is.
@HerdingCats55 I loved rules as a child. I would follow them diligently! Even now, it’s nice to have some sort of guidance and be prepared, though I also like it when things don’t go according to plan as long as I’m able to "fix" it by finding solutions 😂
