⚡️Migraine and Stroke
Several studies describe this relationship. Why?
🎲 Data demonstrated high association with PFO. As well as microemboli causing cortical depolarization.
📈 Woman are in higher risk. Consider also CHC, pregnancy and AFib.

Panel about carotid diseases discusses the use of TCD for microemboli detection, mainly in outpatient care and with unstable carotid plaques. I may find it difficult to address all patients due to infrastructure, but it's definitely a call for trials! #ISC26

The president of the @American_Heart, Dr. Stacey Rosen, gave a terrific lecture yesterday about why women matter in research and stroke care.
Women have a unique risk factor as age of menarche or menopause, parity and contraceptive use. Also can be more affected by hypertension.

Oceanic-Stroke Results!
The study enrolled patients after non-cardioembolic IS or TIA event.
🧭 The cumulative incidence of stroke was significant lower in patients using asundexian with a HR of 0.74.
🩸There was no difference between groups regarding major bleeding.

TNK-Plus evaluated a sample of 391 patients in late window set presenting with MCA occlusion.
The use of TNK plus Thrombectomy did not prove to benefit patients outcomes.
