اگر نہیں تو پھر جیل حکام کس قانونی بنیاد پر ایسی اضافی پابندیاں لگا رہے ہیں جو عدالتی فیصلے کا حصہ ہی نہیں

یہ معاملہ نہ صرف انسانی حقوق بلکہ قانون اور انصاف کے تقاضوں پر بھی سنگین سوالات اٹھا رہا ہے

3. Ensure Chief Justice Dogar takes up the bail applications of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi so they can be released from this illegal imprisonment without delay.

Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi are being held in solitary confinement, one of the harshest forms of treatment in violation of Pakistani law and international human rights standards.

“The judges in this country should be ashamed of themselves. Time and time again we have gone to the judiciary. But they have sold their souls for their paid personal privileges. They have sold their integrity. They know they cannot break me, so they turn to my wife. How they can allow this inhumane treatment to Bushra BiBi, simply to blackmail me. She spends 24 hours a day in isolation, except for 30 minutes with me per week - and even that is often ignored. It is unislamic to harm women, children and the elderly - and their motives are plain and clear. The judges are responsible for the justice in a society. They should be ashamed of themselves.”

My sons Sulaiman & @kasim_khan_1999 applied for visas in January (again… ) to allow them to visit their father @ImranKhanPTI in Pakistan. The Pakistan consulate states that online visa processing normally takes 7–10 working days. It has now been 60 days. This despite the public promise that they could safely travel there to see their father after 4 years, made by both Defence Minister @khawajaMAsif to @mehdirhasan & PM spokesperson @mosharrafzaidi to @SkyYaldaHakim
Meanwhile, they are not allowed to speak to him on the phone, nor send him a letter. They haven’t seen him since 2022 after he was shot in an assassination attempt.
This is an appeal directly to Pakisan’s PM @CMShehbaz to please allow Imran Khan’s two sons to see their father asap, particularly since, by all accounts, his health is in decline.

The Islamabad High Court has rejected the request for an immediate transfer to Shifa Hospital. Instead, the Chief Commissioner will form a medical board to decide whether he should be moved from jail to a hospital outside.
After five months of delay in @ImranKhanPTI ‘s medical treatment, ordering the formation of yet another board raises serious human rights concerns and appears to be yet another delaying tactic rather than urgent medical relief.

I express my profound dismay at the adoption of Security Council Resolution 2817, which demands that Iran end its strikes against neighbouring countries.
This resolution is a blatant example of the misuse of the Security Council to serve the political agendas of the United States and its allies. It is a manifest injustice that completely ignores the root causes including the illegal aggression by the US and Israel in which Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei was martyred, massacre of more than 1,300 civilians, and targeting of civilian infrastructure including schools, hospitals, ambulances and even protected heritage sites. By remaining silent on this initial act of aggression, UNSC has created a false and dangerous narrative of unprovoked Iranian action and given cover to bad-faith actors.
Politically, this one-sided and unbalanced text reveals shameful double standards and selective enforcement. It does not serve international peace and security. Rather, it erodes the credibility of UNSC itself.
Legally, the resolution seeks to deny Iran its inherent right to self-defence under Article 51 of the UN Charter. Iran’s actions were a lawful response to armed attack, yet UNSC chose to distort international law by applying it selectively, ignoring the original violation of Article 2(4), and failing entirely to address the critical issues of foreign military bases on the territory of Iran’s neighbours and the questions of sovereignty and consent they raise.
Such politicisation and hypocrisy do grave harm to the principles of the UN Charter and the sovereign equality of nations. I reject this unbalanced and unjust resolution in its entirety. True de-escalation requires addressing root causes with fairness and impartiality, not shielding aggressors while punishing the victims.
I am confident that conscientious and fair minded people all across the world and irrespective of their nationalities and religion and sectarian identities would not accept this erosion of international law and justice.
