i think it's important to have something to look forward to every day or every week, so when life drains you, itโll help you to remember that you need to keep going a little longer because there's something waiting for you at the end of the week that might make you smile again.

If you're a brand, a person, or a team that needs someone who genuinely cares about how people feel when they read something โ I'd love to talk๐๐ท

we live on a planet where trees warn each other of danger through underground networks. where octopuses dream. where elephants return to the bones of their dead and stand over them in silence. where bees communicate through dance, showing each other where to fly. where flowers bloom...where crows remember human faces -especially those who were cruel to them - and pass that memory on to their young. where ants build entire cities. where cats purr at a frequency that can help heal bones. where forests, after fires, grow flowers first.

i think one of the healthiest things i've ever learned is that you should allow others to reintroduce themselves to you, even your closest friends. Give people space to become who they are without assuming you know who they are just because you've been friends/family for years.
People fall in love with ideas because ideas never fight back. Execution does. It exposes your blind spots, your patience, your habits and your excuses. Most founders learn more from the first week of doing than the first year of imagining.
good end of year activity:
> brain dump every single open loop in your head (projects, emails, tasks)
> figure out which one of them you want to close out
> spend 6 hours doing what you need to do to close every loop you no longer want to pursue
(I just did this)
FEELS GOOD!!!!
Someone told me yesterday that when they feel nervous about doing something & their heart starts beating really fast, that they call it their "Inner Applause" because their body is cheering them on, and I think that's the cutest narrative adjustment ever ๐ฅน
