I'm getting lazy, using codex to:
- code (well, I'm still active, reviewing plans and code and test results),
- testing
- launching and watching model training
- debugging

I bet I could also use claude code for that and any other cli based coding agent. My point is not about codex being the best coding agent.

My point is about automating many of the tasks I was doing. The upside is faster iterations. The downside is bug lurking without being detected. An even bigger risk is to lose skills. For the latter I still code manually and debug manually from time to time.

I still don't get how people can let a coding agent code for hours without human in the loop. Based on the error rate I am seing this would be a disaster for the kind of code I work with (prototyping SOTA ML/RL pipelines)

✸ End-users preferred PHA over single-agent + parallel systems (20 participants, 50 personas).
✸ Experts rated it 5.7%–39% better than baselines on complex health queries.

✸ Address comprehensive user needs.
✸ Adaptive support → dynamically combine agents.
✸ Low user burden → don’t ask for data you can infer.
✸ Keep it simple → avoid unnecessary latency.

• General health Q&A
• Personal data interpretation (wearables, biomarkers)
• Wellness advice (sleep, nutrition, activity)
• Symptom assessment (still limited, no diagnosis)

⚡ Limitations + future

✸ Slower than single-agent (244s vs 36s avg).
✸ Needs safeguards: bias audits, privacy, regulatory compliance.
✸ Next frontier: adaptive style → empathy vs accountability depending on user state.

⚡ The takeaway

Google’s PHA shows the path forward:
Not a “super doctor bot.”
But modular, specialized, agentic crews.

Healthcare is just the first test.
