How do we transition students from thinking being a leader means “be in charge & tell others what to do” to the idea that being a TRUE leader means to “show, include, & empower” OTHERS to have the confidence to share their talents too? WE have to SHOW them in the way WE lead! ❤️
Instead of “Why?” asking “What makes you say that?” When a student is falling apart, replying simply with, “What do you need, and how can I help?” #OneSmallThing
Dear Teachers: I think we forget that October is always a challenging month. Practice self care! Take care of yourselves! Take care of each other! Our new teachers may need looking in on! @teacher2teacher@ncte@CSDSenators

When a student is acting out in class, rather than asking “What’s wrong with you?” we need to be asking “What happened to you, and how can I help?” #nced#ACEs#resilience#OneSmallThing
