@BrianBoddis I would say when our power play is running at 33.33% and we’re in a one goal game, the refs know that a PP would most likely change the game. No ref wants to be the reason a team wins or loses.
@TroyWestwood @TSN1290Radio I’ll also add that The Hockey Writers agree with me. The only reason Morrissey was fined was because of optics for the league. It’s because people like you are calling out for suspensions on plays that don’t warrant it. Like I said before, let’s get illegal checks to the head out
@TSN1290Radio @TroyWestwood stick to kicking footballs... it was a hockey play. Wouldn’t have been called In he playoffs. It should have been a roughing penalty or 10 min misconduct at most!
@TroyWestwood @TSN1290Radio We should be focusing on direct headshots like the one Tanev laid, not junk like this that muddies up the discussion. This was a holding/roughing penalty that went to far and unfortunately injured a player. No fine necessary imo
@TroyWestwood @TSN1290Radio Crazy! He was roughing his man and holding him in the corner. It’s not like Morrissey was targeting his head trying to injure the guy. Accidents happen all the time in hockey and this one should have been a rough. This wouldn’t have been called in the playoffs and you know it.
We add 20,000 vehicles to our roads every single year. We can either keep things the same and watch traffic get worse...or we can make progressive change to make things better for drivers, cyclists, pedestrians and transit riders. Innovative idea by Glen Murray of @VoteOpenWpg.
I wonder if this could actually benefit the underground as well. There are two entrances to Winnipeg Square along Fort Street. It could become a major transit station.
Winnipeg staple, Salisbury House Restaurant moving into one on the city’s most beautiful historic buildings - 30 meters from #PortageAndMain. I’m going to bet they wouldn’t mind having more customers on the sidewalks and direct access to people from every corner.
@TrenaZacharias @CBCManitoba It’s true.. the current system involves going down into a dark underground, that’s confusing and hard to navigate. There are lots of horror stories from people who are forced underneath. It’s better to have well lit streets, where everyone can see, and police can easily interfere
@j_thorsteinson@VoteOpenWpg Most of the $11m was set aside for busses to keep service the same, only $6m to open it up and most of that was going to be spent no matter what. Already budgeted for!
Fact: the money is set aside to deal with the crumbling barricades. A no vote *will not* save money. We are asking to direct those monies toward an open, vibrant, and accessible street scape for 2018 and beyond #VoteOpenWPG#Winnipeg
