I'm building proof that it's possible.

I took $CHYM today. I played it as a day trade which is something I havenāt done in some time but the market is having a pause (which is so good) and even though its earnings where pretty solid I felt like I didnāt want to push it so I drew my levels, I entered at 1 min ORB after it played the lower level and fully sold at 31.89. I clearly left money on the table but itās ok. You canāt get it all
@jfsrev@AlBrooksTrader says that all range breakouts have an 80% probability of failing. He is a day trader but I took that teaching with me when I moved from day to swing trading. A long range needs volume and/or a catalyst to break out or down.
So applicable to trading as well. Losing is just a part of winning and we need to respect it and make sure it doesnāt crush us.
It is psychology and risk management. Both come in place when we deal with loss
Michael Jordan says losing is not the opposite of winning, it is just another part of winning
āI hate losing. Itās not even a question. But I have to respect losingā¦ā
āBecause losing is a part of winning. You never just win. Youāve got to lose to win.ā
āLosing is going to hurt⦠To a point where you look at⦠How can I do things different? How can I change? How can I make this team better?ā
āBefore you can look at someone else⦠Youāve got to look at yourself in the mirror. Thatās how things get started. Youāve got to be willing to change.ā

@stamatoudism Indeed! Most of the traders around have quite an ego and it makes it difficult not just to learn from but even to interact with them. I like @drmansipd and @KynaKosling a lot, they are both always very polite and kind.
And finally we got a breakout in the market. Hopefully this is the beginning of a new leg. I do feel FOMO because I only watched again today, but I shake it off thinking many setup will show up in the next days if this is a true good one :)
@GuyTheInvestor That's a good point, curious to see what is going to happen. But I do keep inmind that last week $GOOG sold off on earnings even though the results were great and that is because the CAPEX was increased too much. Let's see. Hopefully we can start a new leg up! :)
@BlogJulianKomar@GnT_Trades Mine as well š but whats your take on the market? ES is 3days up and at the top of its range. That does make me hesitant in entering new trades
@HyunLee I landed to your post checking the same š The $HPE chart looks good no doubt, but I wanted to understand the take people have on the current market considering that ES is at the top of its range. Maybe $PLTR earnings will function as a catalyst to break out? Weāll see
@AmandaZmolek Iāve been watching that range too. Will it reverse? Normally to get out of a range there is the need of a catalyst. ES still pushing though. Lets see what happens tomorrow
No trading for me again today. NQ is still in a downtrend amd ES just closed on the upper side of the range itās been in for the past couple of months. We will see tomorrow. Will it break out or reverse? In any case I donāt have enough conviction to put on any trade
@setupsgaloreapp I actually started with day trading so I learned a lot about chart and technical analysis before transitioning into swing trading. Now I look at setup on the daily timeframe. I look for consolidation and range expansion. I study earnings gaps up and follow through etc

@setupsgaloreapp It looks stronger indeed. On the weekly, it also has a nice flag bouncing from the 10 EMA. But I just don't know whether I would trust any setup at this point :/
Day 1 of building a successful swing trader
This morning, as I do every day, I looked at the indexes first. ES is in a range below 10 and 20 EMAs and the 50 SMA. NQ is in a clear downtrend, indicating that tech stocks are suffering the most amid this period of uncertainty. There isn't much to do for me today. I'm not up for a day trade, which I believe is the only thing that could work. I'm going to stay in cash and focus on studying
