Last night, the NDC Majority sought to rush through a very important Cocoa Bill under a certificate of urgency. The Minority urged that we take the time to engage cocoa farmers and other stakeholders before proceeding.
Once again, our views were disregarded.
It is our view that this bill, in its current form, will worsen the plight of Ghana’s cocoa farmers in the years to come, as it removes the biggest incentive for cultivating this vital cash crop and undermines its contribution to rural development.
@MBawumia those saying E-Levy he was on record opposing it going against the government position before they passed it. if you dont know go and check. He was the first people that spoke against the bill and said it should not be done!!

@JoyNewsOnTV The Speaker misled the house which is against the code of ethics, a serious misconduct at that. He must be referred to the ethics committee to be investigated and removed if he's found guilty... but this is Ghana so yeh that's not gna happen.
@Citi973 He said the same about free SHS.... the lack of ambition and drive from this man is obvious. One candidate says it is possible whilst the other one says it is not possible. I know the one I would want to put in charge of this country
