I may have to always ask students to discuss their programs. They are doing excellent telling the group about the program but also encouraging them to get started on their career path now. Nuggets of wisdom are being dropped.

The instructor can give all the info about their program but every so often it's good to get a student's perspective. Two welding students had the opportunity to explain their program to students from Huntington high school who came to @gonltcc for a campus tour.

Busy day at the Shreveport campus @gonltcc. We partnered with Goodwill on a job fair that not only benefited our students but also the community. Then I gave a tour to high school students interested in Welding and Culinary. A great day for employment and education!

In the Barber Styling lab, Larry Richardson, demonstrated a cut to his students.The lab setting is one of the benefits of attending a technical community college. Students learn the skills & then have the opportunity to demonstrate what they were shown. #handsonlearning @gonltcc
