the protest is just getting bigger and bigger every single day. more protesters showed up tonight compared to the night of 20th july. undoubtedly, what started as an internet satire has grown into something that is influencing indian politics and the vote bank of the current government.

and yes, accept it or not, abhijeet dipke deserves appreciation. against all odds, with limited resources, no giant political machinery behind him and very little experience in leading something of this scale, he somehow managed to bring it this far after all ups & downs.

yesterday, something happened.

the fear among youth disappeared.

it disappeared from the hearts of protesters. it disappeared from the hearts of people who once whispered their political opinions instead of speaking them. it disappeared from those who hesitated before saying publicly that they did not support the bjp or its ideology.

for years, fear was carefully cultivated. fear of questioning. fear of speaking. fear of being labelled. fear of standing alone.

yesterday, thousands quietly buried that fear amidst the chaos. even as people ran to escape lathi charges, even as panic replaced slogans for a few moments, something irreversible had already happened in that very moment.

the youth has realised they do not need a saviour when the people claiming to save the nation refuse to listen to its youth. democracies do not survive because leaders are powerful. they survive because ordinary people refuse to surrender their voice.

and yesterday, on those rain-soaked roads, thousands chose not to surrender.

they stood, they marched, they raised their voices, and even when fear, exhaustion, and chaos surrounded them, many refused to let hope die because democracy is not kept alive by the walls of parliament alone.

it is kept alive every time ordinary citizens refuse to believe that their voice no longer matters.

maybe yesterday did not change the government.

maybe it did not change the system.

but for many, it changed something just as important that is the belief that they still have the power to shape the future.

and every lasting change begins with people believing that their voice is worth raising, even when it feels like no one is listening…
