Vorrei poter riprendere le centinaia di migliaia di tweet e dichiarazioni entusiaste sulla vittoria alle elezioni del “blocco antifascista” o del “Fronte democratico”. Per non parlare dei tromboneschi editoriali dei giornali sulla genialità della mossa di Macron e sulle fantastiche sorti progressive che si aprivano per la sinistra italiana se solo avesse seguito il modello “tutti contro”. Il risultato è nelle macerie francesi di oggi. Il melenchonismo in Francia così come il wokismo in America sono il veleno dei progressisti e regalano il paese alla destra estrema. Questa è la fondamentale lezione che dovremmo imparare.
In Italia ci stiamo allegramente incamminando verso la stessa meta. Al centro sinistra serve cultura di governo; capacità di parlare di sicurezza e immigrazione in modo sensato; spostare l’attenzione sui diritti sociali e sui doveri civici; abbandono delle ideologie e degli slogan green senza sostanza e contenuti; attenzione alla crescita.
Se il confronto è tra estremismi vince sempre la destra, perché capace di rassicurare di più.
