Her own research and interests were in women’s cardiovascular health and hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, which hits home. She was taken too early from this world.
This resident physician’s content surrounding her own palliative care journey has impacted who I hope to be as a physician. She just passed from stage 4 sarcoma, her videos should be part of MS4 curricula. Thank you Dr. Kim, RIP. @snakagawa_md

I was the 920th IVF baby born in the United States. It’s appalling to me that my mother had more reproductive rights in 1991 than I have in 2024. I will fight to make sure my daughter and the next generation has access to their essential healthcare.
Anyone else in cardiology see this first image taken of a black hole and immediately want to know if this was at rest or with stress? #nucs#cardiology#MedTwitter@DukeCardiology
Learned that we are supposed to put our baby’s car seat in the middle seat today at the pediatrician. Serious question- what happens when you have two babies? Do you just pick your favorite one to put in the middle seat????
Are you a resident or cardiology fellow interested in pursuing a career in cardiology critical care (CCC) but not sure what training is recommended ? Check out this article I wrote for JACC FIT section on pathways to CCC: https://t.co/aW0Vk6ZX7g
Same goes for a procedure being bumped to the next day, discharge having to be delayed, etc. You need to communicate this directly to your patient 100% of the time.
My biggest piece of advice to new interns- if a nurse says a patient is asking for pain meds and you say no, it is your job to go to bedside and say that to the patient. Don’t put your nursing colleagues in that position! #MedTwitter
As an intern/resident, it is so easy to forget how hard it is to be at the bedside for a whole shift with a patient. By telling the nurse no and not volunteering to tell the patient, he or she has to be the bearer of that news. Over a decision they did not ultimately make.
I hope training programs realize that abortion bans effect all trainees profoundly. As a currently pregnant cardiology fellow who is also interested in cardioOB, I am petrified for myself and my patients to be in a state with a 12 week abortion ban. #medtwitter
Caring for veterans in fellows clinic at the VA is one of the most important things I have done in cardiology fellowship. Veterans deserve healthcare, period. Tax cuts for the rich should not be paid for by cutting veterans access to care.
