@sayinshallah You never deserved the money anyways so you’d never keep it. In almost all realities you will revert back to the person you’re always meant to be.
Painfully average.
I see a lot of people dunking on @leopoldasch, which feels like a classic internet mob looking for attention.
Leo’s story is unreal. He went from relatively unknown technologist to one of the top hedge fund managers in the world in less than 5 years.
His original Situational Awareness paper has been quite accurate, not to mention Leo’s ability to drive ridiculous investment returns for his investors through June.
Losing 60%+ of your investors assets in a single month is obviously bad. Leverage is one of the most destructive forces in the world when things go against you.
But let’s not forget that Leo still has a few billion dollars and a strong opinion of the future. If he is right, and he continues to play the risk-taking game, there is a high probability he will still create tens of billions of dollars in returns for his LPs.
The internet mob can do all the dunking they want, but I wouldn’t bet against a smart, young guy who now has something to prove.
The Clarity Act is ready for a full Senate floor vote.
The bill represents a true bipartisan compromise with thousands of hours of work on both sides, and it couldn't come at a better time. The status quo in the U.S. isn't working. There's no federal framework, so bad actors like FTX can harm U.S. customers and much of the industry has gone offshore totally outside U.S. purview. This bill fixes that with strong consumer protections, real tools for law enforcement, and a path for America to lead in this industry.
Crypto can't be uninvented at this point, so whether you love crypto or hate crypto, you should want clear federal laws. And it's also simply good politics: 70% of American voters say the U.S. should have already passed comprehensive crypto legislation.
Let's finish this!
Special thanks to the @standwithcrypto members who sent 950k contacts to their representatives in congress. Keep it up.

French President Macron on China:
Let me be absolutely clear: I am not anti-China.
But we see in our economies, and across Europe, that every year our trade deficit with China grows.
This means that tens of thousands of jobs are lost in Europe every year.
China is also a country that has become a global leader in innovation. But if we want technological development in our own countries, we cannot simply import Chinese products. We need technology transfer.
We need investment and cooperation in sectors such as chemicals, the automotive industry, and many others that are currently under pressure.
China supports its own industries on average eight times more than we are able to do in Europe. Those are rules of competition that must be rebalanced.
You know it's serious when I'm amplifying a political message from someone who I don't typically agree with on much of anything politically. US needs to win this race.
This is concerning. For the first time, a Chinese model Kimi K3 has taken #1 on the Frontend Code Arena and is scoring at or near the frontier on other benchmarks.
Meanwhile America is tying itself in knots: politicians and bureaucrats are banning new data centers, piling on state regulations, and pushing for new federal agencies to pre-approve frontier models.
This is how you lose the AI race. The rest of the world won’t play by our rules if we bog ourselves down. Permissionless innovation is how America won the internet and became the technological envy of the world. We can do it again with AI -- while addressing risks in a targeted way -- or we’ll watch our lead evaporate.
This has been obvious to anyone who studies history and previous technological revolutions.
We abstract lower level problems away and move up the stack to new problems. That creates new complexity and a wider variety of jobs.
Complexity breeds more complexity.
The work is infinite because the problems are infinite. No machine, human, or man and machine hybrid can solve them all.
AI is not magic and we need to stop thinking about it that way.
The stack of problems is infinite and never ending.
Unfortunately I think Robinhood is going to end up trying to sabotage Hyperliquid. Most likely through political levers and lobbying.
This is not a playground, it is a fight for territory, and there is a ton of money at stake.
do you know why gamers make the best traders?
because they're able to think on the fly in high pressure situations and perform
yes, there are some physical elements to having peak performance, but so much of it comes from the calming of the mind and executing when it matters
TREASURY HAS AN INTERNAL REPORT WARNING ABOUT THE DANGERS OF AN AI BUBBLE
A draft U.S. Treasury report warns the AI boom could resemble the dot-com bubble, according to NOTUS.
The report says AI companies are deeply embedded in the economy, raising the risk that weaker financial conditions or slower growth could trigger broader economic fallout if the sector turns lower.

The yen just hit its weakest level against the dollar in four decades. Japan has raised interest rates and spent billions defending its currency. Yet the yen keeps sliding.
