Yesterday Alex celebrated their 68th birthday with our Founders Day. The day started off with a celebratory assembly with many Old Alexans in attendance as they celebrated their respective reunions this weekend.

This weekend we host Victoria Park High School in our final derby of the winter sports season. We start with hockey taking place on Friday afternoon but the excitement will continue on Saturday with all our rugby, hockey, netball and soccer teams.

We start our term 3 sports fixtures with our derby this weekend against Hoërskool Cillié at Alex. Our rugby, netball and soccer teams will compete on Saturday. St Andrews College will be joining our soccer teams to play against both Alex and Cillie. #AlexVsCillie

The most exciting time of the matrics’ school career is fast approaching: The #AlexMatricDance! This year we want to start a new initiative by reaching out to members of the Alex community who are willing to sponsor/donate items, which will be gifted to #AlexMatricClassof2023

The Alex girls’ cricket teams bid farewell to our German exchange student, Mia Seemann. Mia joined the girls’ cricket team earlier this year and has showed excellent commitment to the sport. Cricket is not widely played in Germany so this was a new experience for her.

Mia attended every practice and played in the girls' 2nd team matches. Mia was eager to learn a new skill, to learn more about the game, and she performed well in her matches. Pictured with Mia is Mr Lawton De Klerk (MIC of Girls' Cricket) &Mr Dean Bergins (2nd team coach).
