@MashaNovak3 Absolutely. Like any artist, I think we’re more tuned into the emotional human experience, and we yearn to write for a sense of catharsis. That can lead to getting lost in the mental illness and depression waters.
@AuthorCherylZ I have, and am currently doing so. Though, it’s entirely against my will and because my body needs some recover from the acid. But soon I shall enjoy my delicious caffeine again!
@kathglasgow YA has always given me a safe sense of escapism, ever since I was in the “designated age bracket.” Now, it gives me a safe, nostalgic escapism. I often find reading YA helps work with my inner child, and for that and many reasons, I believe it’s for everyone.
Finally feeling better after a few days under the weather and I am determined to get a ton of writing done today, let’s go! #amwriting#writingcommunity
@MargoSloan215 I in fact look for stories to edit and publish that don’t have coming out as the main plot. Let queer people exist in plots that don’t surround their sexuality, just like straight people get.
@megbontra It’s been such an honor working next to you, even for the short time we’ve had. I’m so glad you’re taking care of you and making the hard choices to look after your family. You’re gonna do great! ❤️
Now that I’ve had the chance to start going through submissions, let me just say thank you to everyone who participated in #SFFPit! These submissions look amazing!
HP didn't save you.
Here's another wild truth for you-- books by queer authors won't save you.
Your beautiful imagination & built-in desire to thrive saved you. Ppl make use of the tools they get access to. Better tools are *crucial*, but your heart deserves that credit. 💜🔥
WARNING TO #SFFpit AUTHORS: Many bad agents are liking pitches today
One doesn’t have an agency behind her and was let go by her previous agency for poor work behavior
