In order to become a better person, you must first realize how horrible you really are. Not in the dramatic sense, but in the quiet ways you sabotage yourself, repeat unhealthy patterns, hurt people who care about you, or tolerate what wounds you. You cannot grow if you keep pretending you're innocent in the story you've created.
if you spend all day at a fish market, you’ll leave smelling like fish, even if you never touched one
but spend your day in a perfume shop and you’ll carry the scent even if you didn’t buy anything, that’s how environment works. it rubs off, whether you realize it or not. stay around complainers and everything starts to look negative. stay around excuse makers and growth feels optional but get around people who move with purpose, you’ll feel it.
get around people who live in gratitude, you’ll start to see differently. the scent of your environment will always follow you.
You’re allowed to complain about the air quality because it is a health hazard. What you’re not allowed to do is blame Canada as if this is a targeted attack. Everyone should be blaming politicians from both countries who refuse to fund environmental and climate scientists
it genuinely pisses me off so bad how nonchalant people are about AI. we’re in a bubble in our online spaces but out in real life? everyone is casually using it for the most basic tasks. it’s pathetic. these people are pathetic.
