@chrismcg21 @robinthemint There’s a huge problem with unregulated litigation funding. Heard about a few cases in the family courts where they’ve taken the entire settlement then sued for more. Including victims of DV.

Financial services need to be subject to a similar law to psychoactive substances - new ones are illegal unless they are licenced. Otherwise parasite firms will always be way ahead of FCA/CCA regulation.

Jumping on the post office scandal for a sec. I’m glad the ITV drama highlighted the issue with unregulated litigation funding. I advised a victim of DV a few years ago - the funders and complicit lawyers took her entire divorce settlement, then sued her for £200k.
