To anyone reading this who’s trying hard to endure and persist with an energy-robbing disease: I don’t know who needs to read this and I can’t know your struggle, but I want you to know I know you’re doing your best, you’re doing great all things considered, and I’m proud of you.
More than 3 years in, with tens of millions of people still suffering, this is the comprehensive list of validated treatments for #LongCovid, as established through rigorous, randomized clinical trials
We started our expert interview series off with none other than @WesElyMD !
In all my years, I've never come across a physician as empathetic and genuinely good hearted as @WesEly. It was a pleasure listening to and learning from him.

@Z3R0Gravitas@HoagieHoag@amy_is_tired@pathizehealth We were intentional in offering a wide range of wearable options! Everybody has different preferences and needs, and we did not want to impede on that. Would a write-up of the pros and cons of each wearable be helpful?
As for access: stay tuned the next few weeks 👀
@IpLongCovid That’s a good shout and maybe I should clarify my question- for those needing to go to physical therapy, who are the providers that understand how to reduce the chance of triggering PEM? For context this was the thread that got me thinking: https://t.co/6dzLvS17NJ
@Mormolykeia Oof yeah they put me through PT too. I suffered through it because I needed the MRI, but I definitely wouldn’t recommend if you experience PEM :/
Who are the best physical therapists that know how to work with PEM? One of the most under appreciated components of care with a very high risk if you get it wrong. Drop your favorite names below! Both researchers and care providers!
@Mormolykeia@taylorpartdeux When I was going through PEM, going to a PT that didn’t know how to work with it was super dangerous. There aren’t a lot that specialize in it , but even finding ones that will listen to what you need is an absolute must.
“Costly if you try” - truer words have never been said. Working through PEM is counter to everything we’ve been taught in our lives- “Push harder” ,“Work through it”, “dig deep” doesn’t work here. If you haven’t already, take time to read Ed’s full article. Absolutely brilliant.
When long-haulers talk about their fatigue, they often hear “Oh I’m tired too”. But theirs is utterly different to the everyday version healthy people get. More severe. Very hard to push through (& costly if you try). Not cured by sleep. Multifaceted. 3/ https://t.co/oFWb6Flyh0
To all the Chicagoland folks out there:
If we rented out a theater one day to screen movies while being covid-conscious (masking required, maybe even negative antigen test confirmation), would people be interested? If there's enough interest, let's set it up!
If you could hear directly from one Long COVID expert that answers the questions you’re interested in, who would it be? We’re building our list of who we want to interview next on the Pathize Health Podcast. Comment below!
Upping the stakes here. We’re dropping new merch in the next few weeks. We’ll send everyone who comments an item of their choice! If your recommendation leads to us having them on the show, we’ll send you an Apple Watch, on us! Keep the names coming!
We’re thrilled to announce that the newest version of Pathize brings activity tracking!
You can record daily tasks, rank tasks on priority, and correlate activities with data from your wearable device.
