The Swiss Vatnik Party initiative was strongly rejected today. A yes would have greatly reduced Switzerland's ability to sanction belligerent states, such as russia.
Two Rybar propagandists live in a posh area in Berlin with their fancy European cars.
Russia is sending drones with explosives, attempts to murder Rheinmetall CEO, funding lawsuits against weapons deliveries to Ukraine, uses German sanctioned propagandists like Alina Lipp to lie about these events, and even letting Russian bullshitters like Dolmatov and Chashchukhin live comfortably in their capital.
Do something.
And what Germany does? Absolutely nothing.
@v_i_n_z_d@CarloBasile17@EUvsDisinfo I'm not sure how I'm supposed to list one example when he blocks me before I have a chance to. But nice addition there.
@reckthei@adnashmyash Maidan was democracy, it was litterly Ukrianian people demonstrating. Viktor fled Ukriane after his leadership got 100 of people killed, the parliament and his own party determined that he could no longer perform his duties and new elections, under international observation took
@ChrisW2244@adnashmyash ...military personell on its territory. After the last attempt of the draft, Russia once again changed its demands to be even more restrictive for Ukriane. It was never going to be agreed upon and it was designed that way by Russia.
@ChrisW2244@adnashmyash There was no peace deal in Istanbul, there was a draft for one but Russia and Ukraine never came to an agreement, Russia demanded Ukraine relinquish control over regions of it's territory, that Ukraine were to reduce it's military force to < 85k, not join NATO, not allow foreign
@ChrisW2244@adnashmyash There was no coup, there was however a Ukrainian president that fled Ukraine after the Ukrianian protests had led to hundreds of deaths under his leadership. As he was no longer in Ukraine it was deemed by the parliament and his own party that he could not perform his duties.
@RadosevicDragan@adnashmyash No such promises were made by NATO. There was only an agreement that foreign troops and nuclear weapons were not allowed to be stationed permenantly in former East Germany, this is still in force, as has been confirmed by both Gorbachev and his main negotiator.
@EssentialTeas@adnashmyash There's nothing in the Budapest memorandum that states that Ukraine can't join NATO. And in fact, Ukraine was not planning to join NATO when Russia invaded and occupied three regions of Ukraine in early 2014, Ukraine was militarily non-aligned (aka "neutral").
@genieman46@ManuelaNikolic4@adnashmyash If Russia doesn't want Ukraine, why is it Russia is taking Ukrainian land then? Ukraine is not part of NATO, nor was it about to be in 2014 when Russia invaded and occupied eastern / southern Ukraine. Yet Finland joins NATO and he doesn't bat an eye. It's clearly not about NATO.
@P_Kallioniemi And in March 2014, he promised Crimea was his only territorial claim—no other Ukrainian territory would follow. The next month, he attacked the Donbas. The next month.
By vatnik logic, if Zelenskyy is “just an actor” and therefore unqualified to be president, why should we believe anything Putin, a former spy, says?
Anyway, here’s Putin in 2008 saying that Crimea belongs to Ukraine and is not a disputed territory:
Norway plans to merge its logistics and medical branches
The new joint command aims to streamline support functions
