Ogun residents lost ‘N35m properties’ to road expansion. Nine years later, project remains uncompleted

In August 2017, the Ogun state government demolished houses and shops along the Alagbole road in Ifo LGA to make way for a road expansion that is yet to be completed after nine years.

According to some of the affected individuals who spoke to TheCable, Ibikunle Amosun, the then-governor, visited the area and promised the owners of the properties marked for demolition that they would get compensation.
