Mom Life- hardly ever easy, almost always fun!!! My hobbies include laughing (or crying) through the good times and the bad. Queer & Outspoken! Follow me on IG!
To people who say, “just keep your content to funny parenting memes.” You don’t get to enjoy my humor, if you can’t also accept my being queer, being a single mom, having mental health struggles… just me being ME.
Are you really afraid of BOOKS and a RAINBOW flag?! Does that REALLY keep you up at night fearing for your children?! Help me understand, bc my “kind” are in legit DANGER, and a lot of you don’t seem to give one fvck. THAT is not a FRIEND. THAT is not SUPPORT.
To my “conservative” or “Republican” “friends”-If u actually care abt ME & my KIDS how cn u vote against my basic HUMAN RIGHTS?” How cn u “support me”, bt not let my kids tlk abt our fam in SCHOOL? How do u love me face to face bt vote to CRIMINALIZE ME? Is $ THAT important to u?
You “support me” but u vote against me… marriage rights, birthing rights, parental rights. There was a 🏳️🌈couple arrested for kissing in public. Why are u voting to criminalize me? To demonize me. U SAY u support me but u can’t if u vote for me to have any less rights than YOU!
I fight for trans kids, bc my friend who has a trans kid can’t speak up, for fear of what will happen to her family. Her child. I fight for trans kids, bc I safely CAN.
When people say things like “I am not hateful, I have lots of gay friends, but…” you know some hella hateful homophobic sh!t’s about to pop outta their mouth! Every time, without fail.
@RileyScout1520 I’m part of the problem? I’m working to end the stigmas. I WISH it was as normalized as hair color. But it’s not. And as a queer person myself, living the struggle, why would I wish it on my kids? Or anyone? I don’t wish my kids to be gay or not gay. I wish them to be themselves!
Yes I am a Queer mom. Yes I am proud of who I am. Yes I support the LGBTQ+ community w my whole heart. But, no, I would never WANT either of my children to be gay or trans. Solely because I know what it’s like to fight that battle. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone, let alone my kids.
Some ppl have asked if I’ve told my kids that they are from a sperm donor & the answer is-Yes!
There is nothing on the internet about my kids that they don’t already know, themselves. I’ve talked about it with/around them since they were born. It’s no secret. Just our journey.
I was talking to a man who truly believed that Target sold “tuck friendly ONESIES”. As in… for a BABY.
1. Who is tucking an infant’s gen!ta!s? (Answer: No One!!)
2. An infant wears a diaper. So, how/why/what would you “tuck”, anyway?
The ignorance is astounding!
Just like all our journeys are unique, so are our perceptions and experiences. And the same goes with our healing. That’s why it’s so important not to compare, and to give yourself grace. You deserve it!!
The hardest part about parenting is that it is exhausting. But, “how to parent” is easy. Just love and accept your kids, unconditionally, and everything else will fall into place.
I’m in a strongly conservative town rn and every time someone passes me in any kind of colorful shirt, I like to keep things interesting by commenting, “I LOVE your Pride shirt!!”
Kids are strange. They think broccoli is the grossest thing on the planet, but can stand in the bathroom while I’m dropping a deuce, and have a straight conversation, without batting an eye. Like, you obviously do not have any clue what gross actually means!!!
I’m not saying “women are better than men”, but we CAN grow a human in our abdomens, birth that human out our vaginas, then bleed for the next 6 weeks, AND live to tell about it, soooo… We’re kinda a big deal.
