@GergelyOrosz batch processing of csv files sent via sftp with random cutoff schedules (making reconciliation difficult) + some glorified regex matchers is basically the industry standard. many, many points of failure that require manual intervention when things fail
@GergelyOrosz@__smiz @MubarratC having a de-facto duopoly in the industry is terrible for the end customer, the sooner the card rails get disrupted, the better
@shreyas the naming made it quite difficult to internalize this since I discovered it. I would suggest EPF (excel-perform-finish), it worked better for me
@GergelyOrosz I can't help but notice how much more common it is in East Europe (I am from Romania) to vote against someone rather than for someone. always the lesser of two evils, we have a long way to go still

Russia is currently waging a war on my homeland, Ukraine.
The russian websites are in a process of massive progaganda campaign saying that "russian troops are liberators and ukrainian people meet them wth open arms".
Here's what you can do to take those sites down. 1/5
@fjakobs what were some of the main deterrents regarding the tech companies you chose *not* to apply to? i.e. you had them in the back of your mind or started doing some research but chose not to apply
@GergelyOrosz 100% agreed. for anyone working with people it is one of the most eye opening things to get educated on. the Hofstede Institute also has a great online country comparator that I find very handy. also participated in a training from them and it's top notch!
@GergelyOrosz in my opinion one should not generalize this to entire asset classes. I'm not saying that a big part of the space isn't mostly hype, but certainly not all of it. Amazon was also part of the dot com bubble
@GergelyOrosz Is it usually the case that there is a strong expectation to spend considerable time coding? My overall impression is that it is a very soft expectation and that it is up to you to play more of an EM role (regardless of title) and less coding, particularly if team is growing
@GergelyOrosz about 18% of all ETH is staked on v2 PoS contract. that's a pretty strong incentive for the upgrade to happen, otherwise all of those coins burn (it's technically unusable until the upgrade)
