Who's documenting and sharing design/dev workflows?
Feels like every 2 seconds a new tool comes out and suddenly you're supposed to re-invent how you work.
I'm mostly slopping directly in cursor - using canvas to workout complex ux, but otherwise skipping design entirely and relying on whatever existing patterns and conventions are in place.
There's definitely something missing by not having spent the time in Figma being closer to the design, but there's no replacement for the raw speed of just caning it with agents and pushing to main.
Looking forward to trying this out - I’ve been using Linear for client projects (mostly Shopify theme development). Being able to “@“ an agent and have it work on a ticket in a cloud environment has been a great addition to my workflow BUT we’re a v small team and don’t feel like we’re getting the collaborative features that Basecamp offers… Linear has been amazing for pure dev tasks but we also have lots of client calls, events, briefs, etc that all need to be worked through. Today that’s a fragmented workflow across Slack / Notion / Linear. it’s a mix of amazing (linear with agents) and a total mess (slack and notion I find to be very counter productive). rant over!
1st sale on a web app I’ve been working on with a friend 🤩🤩🤩
After years of trial and error this is a v exciting moment - not for the monetary value but for the progress it represents
Been super anal about not adding features and focusing on getting a paid customer. It’s been a really great lesson.
