@KasulisK I was there last night and also did not see many policemen. The traffic was unmanageable and precious time was lost for ambulances to make their way in and out of the area. I still cannot process what I saw. I am heartbroken

@AskAKorean I agree. I am actually trying to see what I can do without burning myself with immigration.... I have been so appalled by stories I heard over the years, from poor access to health care, violence against women, poor working conditions....

@AskAKorean At least many Koreans identified the discrimination and racism when expats in Seoul were hit. I use this as an opening to bring to their attention that the discrimination that I face is nothing compared to these migrant workers.

@AskAKorean I agree that there is not nearly enough support for the discrimination of farm workers, actually SE Asians and Chinese workers in SK. But it is not inexistent, however there is constant fear in the expat community about possible expulsion under the Immigration Act or defamation

@AskAKorean It's not an easy issue but I am really hoping there may be more and more activism on both the Koreans and expats parts to tackle the very poor conditions faced by SE Asians and Chinese in Korea. We can only all win from this

@isabelleaudet @mclortie Vu de la Corée, ce débat est absolument hilarant. Les coréens ouvrent des restaus de cuisines d'origines diverses, et généralement les plats sont adaptés au goût coréen. Faut souvent chercher pour trouver les restaus qui n'adaptent pas leurs recettes...

@AskAKorean To be fair, politics in S Korea is not easy. You need a solid understanding of History and power play btw the 2 superpowers (and avoid local disinformation) to even start doing half a decent job...

@AskAKorean I am a bit baffled by statements of supporters of the Conservative party (e.g. the gvnt will now impose same salary for all, etc.). The level of conspiracy theories seems high. Is it due to the press or social media?

@sebpaquet I read somewhere though that at some point you reach a ceiling, because individuals tend to run into more or less the same circles. But I dont know statistically how many need to be infected for this to come into play.
