@olivesophierose I cannot offer any genuine insight (though I’m looking at Big Plastic 👀) but OMG I remember!! There was one brand in NY that I found without applicators-OB tampons I think
New report from @SummersAnne, 'The Choice: Violence or Poverty', launches today. It contains blockbuster, never-released data on the prevalence/impact of domestic abuse among single mothers. To start: 60% of single mothers w kids u18 have experienced intimate partner violence 1/
@dhanyajmani You’re amazing Dhanya. Sorry it’s taken this long for you to receive this recognition and apology for the abuse you experienced and the way you’ve been dismissed and retraumatised in so many ways since
🧵When I told my story of sexual abuse in politics in 2019, no political leaders acknowledged it. I was erased and gaslit as a woman of colour.
I complained at the time I was abused (2014-15), in 2018, 2019, and 2021. I fought for years to be seen today.

. @marieclaire has launched a campaign, 'The case for safe'.
The campaign is based on #MeToo advocacy re: safety in politics & at work.
The authors (@KZiwica & Sarah Grant) & 3 of 4 women featured are white.
All are able-bodied & cis-gender.
MINORITIES DESERVE BETTER.
Standing with you @TamePunk. Equal parts devestated at the crap slung at you as you advocate for survivors of child sexual abuse, and awed at the way you continue to show up and speak out for your community and yourself
Sending my support and solidarity to these two extraordinary brave women who have spoken up about the sexual harassment they suffered at the hands of the Victorian Supreme Court judge they worked for as young women. Please read.
And thank YOU, @dhanyajmani, for your courage in speaking up and incredible advocacy to make workplaces safer for women and POC. I'm so terribly sorry he harassed you, too, and for the way you were let down by those who might have had the power to do something about it
Thank you for your bravery and sacrifice, @alexeggerking.
You inspired me to share my story of sexual harassment perpetrated by Dyson Heydon in 2018.
I haven't worked in the law since. But your voice gives me hope for what my future may hold.

This is the most powerful 90 seconds of TV I have seen in a long time.
@alexeggerking addresses former High Court judge Dyson Heydon, who sexually harassed her when she was a young lawyer. @abc730@latingle
Meet the extraordinary @alexeggerking and grieve all the splendid women like her who should be lighting up the legal profession right now but for the actions of one man. Dyson Heydon’s former associate speaks out https://t.co/vYMrYzBlDJ
