Yesterday, on the floor of the UAW Constitutional Convention in Detroit, I was honored to be nominated as a candidate for UAW International President. I want to thank the two delegates who rose to nominate me. I also want to thank every delegate who pledged to nominate me but was denied the chance under the rule limiting nominations to two.
And I want to thank every worker who made this nomination possible — every autoworker, parts worker, academic worker, healthcare worker, casino worker and retiree who shared this campaign and contributed to it.

"Will's program is a fighting program. One, the 50% wage increase: workers will be able to afford life. Full health insurance, triple-rate voluntary overtime... this is what we need in order to live and provide for our families."
The events of the first two days of the 2026 UAW Constitutional Convention have made clear why my nomination is necessary. This is a convention of the bureaucracy, by the bureaucracy, and for the bureaucracy.
This morning, I was confronted by my union rep and was told that campaigning at the UAW constitutional convention could cause my company to fire me. I reported this to the federal monitor in this letter below.
If I am being threatened with termination for fighting for the rank and file at a union convention, I can't imagine what other workers are facing in terms of intimidation. I have watched the UAW bureaucracy treat multiple delegates here in an anti-democratic manner, and I was told by multiple long-time UAW members that this is the least democratic convention they have ever seen. Workers must take action against these betrayals.

Dear Monitor:
At around 9 AM this morning, in the hallway outside the floor of the convention, Mr. Lehman was threatened with being terminated from his job for campaigning for delegates to nominate him. Local 677 President Mike Shupp approached Mr. Lehman and told him that UAW International Representative for Heavy Trucks Doug Irvine communicated to Mr. Shupp that Mr. Lehman could be fired from his position at Mack Trucks. Mr. Shupp communicated this threat to Mr. Lehman by saying that if Holly Georgell, Director of Employee and Labor Relations at Mack Trucks, found out Mr. Lehman is campaigning for his nomination at the convention, he could be fired.
Election Rule 4-4's "Freedom to Advocate" provision states, "Any threats, intimidation, retaliation, penalty, discipline, or improper interference of any kind, or any similar conduct is strictly prohibited, and reports of such violations shall be investigated by the monitor." Election Rule 4-5,'s "Retaliation and Discrimination" provision states that the proscription of "threat of retaliation" against a Union member "specifically includes each member's freedom...to run for or seek to run for International office as a Candidate."
As a result of these threats, Mr. Lehman has temporarily stopped campaigning outside the convention hall out of fear of losing his job. Mr. Lehman has lost several hours of campaigning time as a result of the intimidation. The harm is irreparable if not remedied immediately--today.
We demand that the Monitor initiate its obligation under the rules to conduct an investigation into the intimidation of Mr. Lehman, including by investigating whether other delegates are being threatened if they nominate Mr. Lehman. The proper remedy for the ongoing violation is for Mr. Lehman to be given 5 minutes to address the full convention before the nomination of candidates.
The UAW officialdom ordered Harvard grad student workers to end their strike without having gotten any meaningful concessions from the university. This umpteenth betrayal underscores the need for rank-and-file committees. #teachertwitter#Harvard https://t.co/qTVDuETgLl
The academic workforce is being proletarianized, and any illusions that campus walls separate graduate students from the rest of the working class are being shattered.

@liderfiscal The working class must take power in Bolivia. There can be no reformist government which tolerates capitalism or imperialism. Such a government will be either overthrown or capitulate to imperialism. The revolution must spread across the whole world!

"The war on Iran marks the culmination of a distinct 35-year period of history that began with the dissolution of the USSR in 1991," David North explains in his opening report to the International May Day Online Rally.
Even after Orbán’s defeat, there is not a single party that describes itself as left-wing or centrist. The parliament will consist of Magyar’s conservative Tisza, Orbán’s authoritarian Fidesz and the fascist Our Homeland.

If Mamdani were transported back to the 1930s as mayor of Berlin, he would say: "Hitler is the leader of the Nazis, but he loves sauerkraut and so do I."
Trump said: "An entire civilization will die tonight." We declare our solidarity with the people of Iran. The working class of the world must oppose this monstrous crime. It must be stopped.

The names of Trump, Vance, Hegseth, Rubio and Miller will live in perpetual infamy alongside those of the Nazi ringleaders of the Third Reich: Hitler, Goering, Himmler, Von Ribbentrop and Goebbels. The judgment of history will be merciless.
If Trump carries out his threats, today—April 7, 2026—will live in infamy. It will be remembered as one of the great crimes of the modern era. This war has demolished the pretense that the United States is a democracy. https://t.co/C5JCd4wy5A
On Saturday I visited the Palace of Justice in Nuremberg, where leaders of the Third Reich were tried after World War II for "crimes against peace." Trump and his henchmen who have launched a war of aggression against Iran are committing the same grave crime.
