My airing of my grievances: A Festivus thread (feel free to add yours below)
1. The blinding LED headlights are top of the list again this year. I’m ready to run for Prime Minister just to outlaw them
This is the best board game review I’ve ever seen.
Good games make you feel something. Better games make those feelings complex, nuanced. But the best games make you think, long after. Tom’s immaculate presentation mirrors the feeling, the nuance, & the thought of JC. Watch it!
Where does play end? Can table games change minds? Who gets to write, and rewrite history? This is a game that pitches hard questions; the answers to which are dredged from investigation and reflection.
Like all these moral panics about “protecting the children,” this is just another cosplay for a right wing grift to sell its propaganda into public schools.
1. Earlier this month, a mysterious woman appeared before a school board in Texas and claimed that, when she was 11, she READ A SCHOLASTIC BOOK THAT SPARKED A DEBILITATING PORN ADDICTION.
We investigated.
And it's ABSOLUTELY WILD what is happening.

As a former staffer of multiple universities, and student of a “second-string” college, every single word of this. No matter how hard SCOTUS goes at AA, it will never solve the supply and demand issue of the Ivies - esp. when they have zero reason to increase supply.
This is just sad. A cold-hard fact: The overwhelming majority of students who can do the work at top colleges won't get in to their top choices - because there are not enough slots. But they've been convinced getting one of those rare slots is the only way to be successful. 1/
@rf_seattle Yes! Taylor showed a super early version of this at GTS this year and I loved the core asymmetry and concept. I’m sure it’s even better now!
From a pure PR/comms perspective, I think Rodney presents a master class in how to respond to a social media attack, particularly one from a big account. Lays out the facts, not defensive, doesn't mince words, & stands up for himself and his values. 🍻
This is your updated PSA on David Leavitt, his latest nonsense, and how you can avoid falling for it. Yes, he recently made a bunch of reckless claims about me, but I'm fine. Perhaps we can help make sure others don't fall for it.
I spent a decade listening to my conservative friends fret about people using “the violence of government” against them as a justification for owning weapons. On this issue, dead silence - not even an argument to arm librarians? What about “freedom?!?”
1. Two members of @Moms4Liberty have reported several Florida librarians to law enforcement, claiming the librarians committed felonies by distributing pornography to minors.
Popular Information obtained the video from the Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office.

@dougdaulton They're so alpha, not a single facial hair is brave enough to grow on their faces.
Children proclaiming universal "truths" about the interior lives of others is the height of comedy. But it's all a play for rage-engagement (enragement?).
This platform is a joke anymore.
@TylerTinsley@dindjardniera@JeffHoogland I was shocked at how good Mobius proved to be in Conquest. I've played against him twice post-nerf, and skill def makes the difference now. The skilled player wrecked me with him in the late game. This is a nice boost to Electro and Psylocke as well.
If they'd only fix Dardevil.
And I've had it with mediocre talking heads using hatred and fear for profit. I've had it with those same talking heads and their corporate masters bending over backwards to defend terrorism conducted by angry white boys with assault rifles on their own countrymen. @FoxNews, DIAF
I've read a lot of terrific #dnd material recently from publishers large and small. After noticing a lot of common glitches, I compiled a list of tips to consider when editing D&D content. (If you ever apply to WotC and are asked to take the editorial test, pay attention!) A🧵
