@medialitestudio Definitely not the same chip, the chip is upgraded to a 5nm AI chip capable of 8K and doubles the bitrate of the X3, while encoding it at H265. Also allows slow mo in 360 at high resolution, which look much better than X3. Don't get me wrong, X3 is amazing, but X4 is far superior

the new @insta360 X4 was announced today. i’ve been working with insta360 for a couple years now and this is by a leap the best product they’ve shipped. 8k 360 image means your 16x9 crop is almost 4k. so crispy.
