I wish people were nicer to kids. There's not really any safe physical spaces left for them and the internet is even worse. I remember being small and vulnerable. I wish we could be more sympathetic.

I have been a stepparent for 5 years so I joined r/stepparents because my step kid is developmentally a totally new human being every 6 months and I thought this would be like a chill normal forum and what I have learned is sooo fucking many of you need intense therapy
