@Skepta Itโs the output that matters mate . Whatever tools work for you to do ur thing. I just started using ableton after 25 years on logic . Ableton has allowed me to write layouts while jamming quick time . which is great for me, but Iโll still use logic to mixdown. Just tools. ๐๐ผ
@LevityMusic Depends what level of depth you wanna approach this with. At a deeper level House music is about a journey and that journey should always begin by setting the anticipation of whatโs to come . Anyone can come in and play bangers but the real skill is being able to build a room
@diplo Dunno man thereโs people making things on kit from the 80s and smashing it . Depends what u wanna make and how u see the art , theres always room for electronic music made with soul, not in the box and not with things like splice.
@jameygannon depends what u wanna make and how much you care about the art and craft of it . u can use splice or loop cloud but u never gonna sound like ure jamming on an 909 and a Jupiter 8.
@upgrade_music@Rennie_Ltd Pls do. To sum it up Jungle/hardcore/rave was about unity- it brought people together broke down social barriers . But the rave scene had a big criminal underworld and jungle raves got violent later on. But they didnโt start like that. Nice talking . :)
@upgrade_music@Rennie_Ltd Is what it is man. I was out from 95 saw bits of trouble . Bouncers were gangsters . My pal got punched by lenny McLain once . But I was just pointing out that jungle is rave music and its roots are uniting people but underneath that was the criminal underworld. Respect ๐๐ผ
@upgrade_music@Rennie_Ltd When I say trouble to be clear I mean gangs etc etc . Canโt blame jungle . When thereโs money to be made from selling e , running doors , gangs get involved .
@upgrade_music@Rennie_Ltd The trouble was already there in the hardcore scene mate. Ask them that. It didnโt arrive with jungle . It was already in the scene form days of telepathy msrshgate lane way before jungle was a thing. I also know the people that run the raves and the scene from 88. Ask em
@DonnaLouise1212 U lot talk so much rubbish. I grew up in Camden: there were stabbing and killings in the 90s. Richard Everet look him up. I know people stabbed to death back then. Nothings changed and if anything itโs safer there now than the 90s. Stop blaming immigrations itโs a cop out .
@upgrade_music Jungle is and was rave music that evolved from hardcore with influences coming in from rare groove, raggae , ragga and soul . Not all jungle had those influences though . Jungle fever in 93 at the sanctuary brought together the ravers and the rude boys . It united people .
This Sunday we take things back to intimate settings, long sets . @soulcapofficial joining me at the former light bar . Last tickets on RA here https://t.co/hY1l9rCITX โค๏ธ
