Amazon is asking permission to destroy 5 acres of wetlands and nearly 1 mile of streams as part of its resubmitted proposal to add 14 data center buildings at a third site at its sprawling New Carlisle, IN campus.

Public comment is due June 12.

@democracynow @astradisastra It’s hard to comprehend how many national journalists and writers have dropped down into data center issues. Even when I agree with some it’s getting insanely saturated. I guess we’re done with the debt issue and student loans because that’s just not hot anymore.

@gmoomaw The issue that sunk this was procedural interpretation after the fact. The referendum itself might be the highest form of notification and was maxmizing democratic input. Democracy is involved there too? A troubling less amount of it if it even registers at all.
