@AaronMouritsen Christ was a member of the Godhead prior to His mortal life. He is the God of all mankind subservient only to the Father. He was not exalted prior to His resurrection, similarly, I agree that the HG is not yet exalted but is serving his fore-ordained purpose prior to mortality
I feel that, I took a poli sci class years ago (2014) at LDSBC and frankly the church has always been politically neutral due to our complex mix of views. Unfortunately, we have too many dear brothers and sisters putting party before the gospel of Jesus Christ. Also, taxation is theft.
@SenorVito9 This, all the silly arguments on this platform lately have been exhausting to me. I introduced a friend to the gospel this year and she was baptized. Not because I bashed on her faith but because I met her where she was and helped her see there was more to be had.
@chaserracer3302 I mean where does he think it was if not there? If God flooded the whole Earth in the time of Noah then we can reasonably expect every part of the world to look very different than in the time before the flood.
@ThoughtfulSaint The image is doctrinally sound. All will receive salvation from death due to Christ’s resurrection (grace). Not all will receive eternal life/exaltation though that is where works come in.
@Eternal_Saints_ I always think back to Good, Better, Best by President Oaks from October 2007. Showing up to church even if you aren’t in is good. And then how do you go from good to better and then to best? PIMOs aren’t the problem as you said.
