THE LAST TWO TIMES THIS HAPPENED, THE S&P CRASHED 50%…
The S&P 500 closed Friday just 0.7% below its record close. But look at what’s happening underneath…
MarketWatch reported this week that roughly 60% of its stocks were more than 20% below their all-time highs.
Researcher Jason Goepfert also flagged more stocks hitting new lows than highs while the index approaches a record.
His closest historical comparisons: January 1973 and November 1999.
The S&P eventually lost 48% in the 1973–74 bear market and 49% in 2000–02, measured peak to trough.
This does NOT mean another 50% crash is coming... just some interesting data to look at.
@CleansedTweets Tell the “numpty”to F off as no need to explain l.trouble is with these woke tree huggers is that they’ve done bugger all in their lives, never lived or worked abroad yet expect everyone to be as sad and as pathetic as them.
@Mariusz_Invest Same, just went from 1.89% but just locked in a 5 year at 4,79% as rates aint going down anytime soon - wouldn’t be surprised if we’re not in double digits by time that new fixed expires….we can all hope and prey.
