As everyone is now use to standing 2 meters apart in lines for shops etc. It would be great for drivers to do this on the road when over taking cyclists as well. If you can do it in a line you can do it on the road #cycling #cyclinglife

@MarkSharon_DP Speed limits have dropped but the length of cars have not dropped and there's only so many cars you can fit in a length of road so cars passing per minute can't really have changed either in the last 20 or 30 years. Just scientific fact - this data

@MarkSharon_DP Well I certainly haven’t seen many drivers do that past me that have been under control on country lanes where their is enough space to drive safety, but to the select few it is true and that’s where the accidents happen but seems as though we will have to agree to disagree

@MarkSharon_DP What are you classing as a closer but still safe pass when circumstances aren’t perfect? The reason people go to the police is to highlight that as if they did it to that cyclist what’s to stop them doing it to a group of younger riders who might not be so advanced using roads
