Tried building Fall Guys from scratch using the same exact prompt across Claude Opus 5.0 (Claude Code) and Kimi K3 (Kimi CLI).

Kimi K3 shipped working gameplay right away. Physics felt natural, movement was fluid, and the whole thing just played like you'd expect a game to play.

Opus 5.0 built a prettier interface, but the mechanics fell apart - movement felt sluggish and unresponsive, it kept piling on visual chrome that wasn't asked for, performance tanked during actual play, and it spent most of its tokens polishing instead of actually fixing problems.

Runtime and cost breakdown:
- Kimi K3: ~9 min, ~$4.4
- Opus 5.0: ~17 min (still refining), ~$13+

Nearly double the time, triple the spend, yet Kimi delivered the game that was actually worth playing using that same single prompt. Even with Opus 5's benchmarks showing strong reasoning ability, it couldn't convert that into a product that functioned better than the competition.
