Did you know? The stained-glass seal in the Ohio Statehouse Museum was found crated in a restroom storage area during the 1990s restoration. It had previously hung in the Rotunda from the 1920s to 1965 when the leaking skylight was covered with a canvas seal. #funfactfriday

This week, we recognize National Police Week, but it’s also a time to acknowledge the reality of the job.
Policing isn’t just lights and sirens.
It’s long hours, missed holidays, and showing up on people’s worst days.
It’s making split-second decisions under pressure, carrying the weight of what you’ve seen, and still coming back the next shift ready to serve.
It’s helping a stranger in crisis.
It’s knocking on doors no one wants to answer.
It’s being expected to be calm, fair, and professional, no matter the situation.
It’s not an easy job, but it is a necessary one, carried out by people willing to step forward when others step back.
This week, we honor the fallen, support those still serving, and recognize the reality behind the badge.
Thank you to those who continue to show up.
