Often I ask myself:
What is my biggest fear right now?
Not how to avoid it.
How to face it by moving small blocks every day.
My perspective has always been that if you fear water, what you need to do is learn to swim and not stay far from water. You will face it one day either way, unprepared.
Same with public speaking. If you fear the stage, start speaking in small rooms, then bigger ones. Silence will not make your voice stronger the day you need to speak to close a deal and you are unprepared.
Avoidance feels like safety but it’s actually just delayed exposure under worse conditions.
Read books without the pressure of retaining everything. Read multiple books on the same topic. Let the ideas simmer.
Over time, you won’t just collect information —you’ll absorb wisdom.
It’s not about remembering every page, but about remembering what matters.
Usiache baraka nyumbani, ukaenda kuzunguka. Umekosana nao, patana nao.
Apply for that job. Date that person. Buy that plane ticket. Move to that city. Ask that person out. Do all the things that scare you, because they’re worth it.
