This is really good. We're probably only a year away from high quality anime feature films produced this way. One man with a vision filling the roles of writer, director, producer, cast and crew. Once it's possible in anime, Pixar-style and then live-action won't be far behind.
I would love to see a US state go entirely and indefinitely socialist. Any socialists that wanted that life could have it, and I'd be happy for them.
I do wonder if they'd afford me the same? Would they be open to see a US state go entirely and indefinitely libertarian?
Imagine if North Dakota and South Dakota ran this experiment for next fifty years.
The radical socialists would have a land of their own, the radical libertarians would too, the rest of the country could watch, and we'd all learn a lot, wouldn't we?
Unpopular opinion:
Operation Warp Speed to develop the Covid vaccine was the greatest accomplishment of the last thirty years and we should recognize this by awarding the Nobel Peace Prize to Donald Trump and Anthony Fauci.
@peterrhague Legend of the Galactic Heroes is a far-future epic space opera that features melee combat with poleaxes due to the mutual assured destruction of firing laser guns on a spaceship. They also use carrier pigeons during land battles because electronic jamming is so effective.
He says Valhalla because he’s a Hindu Indian who doesn’t believe in heaven.
His faith wouldn’t allow him to say anything Christian-related, so instead he incorrectly uses the Norse mythological term Valhalla (you have to die in battle to go to Valhalla).
In summary, Kash needs to get fired and go act like a retarded podcaster somewhere else.
@DKThomp Ski resorts don't make money selling lift tickets and gear rentals.
The business model is:
-Buy a huge amount of worthless mountain real estate in the middle of nowhere
-Build a resort to make the area desirable
-Gradually sell/lease the land at way higher resort prices
@ItIsHoeMath You'd like Helen Mirren's character in Mobland. It's like they wrote her to have all the female traits you talk about, but to a criminally insane degree. Only difference is she's self-aware enough to give a monologue in the finale explaining exactly why she does what she does.
When I was in 7th grade, one night I listened to My Way by Limp Bizkit on repeat while playing Diablo II. And my brain dumped so much dopamine it crystallized this formative experience, and ever since then I measure my enjoyment of things as a ratio of that moment.
@RealAlbanianPat NDP local campaigns are both alive and dead existing in quantum superpositioning until election day, at which point it is observed which ones are alive and which are dead.
All the pundits are saying the NDP is losing support to the Liberals to stop the Conservatives.
But what if the NDP is losing leftists to the Liberals and workers to the Conservatives?
That would imply Conservatives are losing a LOT of moderates to the Liberals.
@memeticsisyphus She's going to work in your company's HR department, make 3x the money you do, and spend 40 hours a week thinking up new ways to make your life more difficult.
I actually think this illustrates a challenge with the modern-day abundance agenda. What's the expensive thing that rich people today have but isn't "in every home" yet? It's hard to think of anything.
Apparently, I am a deceased musician's "estate", so I get royalty payments sent to me. I had no musicians in my family. Even double-checked with an ancestry service, which confirmed this fact. Still, they insist on sending me the royalties, even after I proved I have no relation.
@Lyle__Pro @being4itself@martianwyrdlord@DTinSodak October is often frozen by the end of the month in Saskatchewan, yes. But there usually isn't that much rain/snow regardless of temperature.
