@musicalrugby @missviclb I think that the main complaint is where cultural appropriation perpetuates racist stereotypes I.E. You are pretending to be a race that you are not, and are drawing upon stereotypes to do so. To many people there is an issue with this, and to some this is what she was doing.

@musicalrugby @tenthsdonna No one was attacking her song, nor its meanings. Simply the fact that she appeared to use the Japanese culture, for little more than staging. Like it or not, there are a number of people who will have an issue with this.
