Will AI grow to the point of having a full digital twin for each human? from DNA to the full metabolome, their gut biome, epigenetics, the whole works?
if so, imagine a simulation in silico of any therapy, for any illness.
True personalized medicine...
@chamath Classic movie plot… the bullied kid who thinks is embarking on a ‘hero’s arc’, just to be disappointed by finding out the world was looking for a hero, but can always use a new villain
Elon's ($) stake in SpaceX is now more than double that of his stake in Tesla and he has > 80% control.
SpaceX’s market cap is now 30% higher than Tesla’s.
If the merger doesn’t happen, it should be obvious which company he’ll ultimately prioritize.
I am geniously impressed by Rivian and RJ.
Tesla needed over 100,000 H100s running 24/7 inside a custom GPU cluster using the real silicon for bit exact inference during training, years of feedback from their over a million FSD users to improve their models, and over 10 billion supervised miles of data.
And Rivian's going to do it. Without any of this.
They must be geniuses.
Federal Budget, Fiscal Year 2025
Revenue:
$5.235 trillion
Spending:
$7.010 trillion
Deficit:
$1.775 trillion short
Even if you could somehow sell every stock Elon Musk owns and raise $1 trillion, we would still have a $775 billion budget deficit! And then what are you going to do the year after that, after you’ve spent all his money?
On top of that, it’s not actually possible to sell all his stocks and raise $1 trillion. The stocks would tank if he was forced to sell, and be worth far less. He doesn’t actually have the ability to pull a trillion dollars out of the bank.
All of these politicians are pointing the finger at Musk to try and blame him for their budgetary failures. The reality is these legislators have fucked up so badly that every cent Elon Musk has can’t plug the hole in the budget. The deficits that we have every single year.
And most Americans are so stupid that they’ll actually believe these politicians instead of voting them out.
You can’t both, adore Messi as the greatest footballer of all time, and hate Elon Musk, being the greatest entrepreneur.
Neither took anything from you.
Both worked harder than everyone else and used their talents for a better world
You either envy/hate both or admire both
I think possibly the best thing about Elon Musk becoming a trillionaire is how angry it makes a bunch of losers who've never built a thing in their lives.
@nikitabier Please fix @Grok issue where just trying to scroll from my left thumb to read an answer triggers a re-research of the question. Happens to me 10% of the time. I must be clicking ok something (links?)?
Place those a little farther away so scrolling doesn’t trigger it
Nothing exposes envy faster than screaming ‘greed!’ at the guy who’s paid more taxes than entire economies while turning sci-fi into jobs & progress.
The real capital sins? Their vanity, resentment, and imbecilic refusal to build anything themselves.
Elon ships. They seethe.
@SpaceX@Tesla
Wrong on every count. The annual wealth tax would have forced Elon to divest of his assets. Tesla and SpaceX would have disappeared as independent, vibrant assets, and US exceptionalism along with it. Many, many Americans would be far poorer today than they were then. And none of the poor would have seen a dime of the taxes (since the US and the States, in particular California, spend far more than they collect.) You can't cure dumb. For reference...see Europe.
You wouldn’t know where the money went if he brought it you personally as congress isn’t serving the American people with helpful legislation and the corruption in gov fraud is out of control.
The solution to healthcare is to reduce the cost of materials and service, not more

Thank you! @elonmusk
Your relentless pursuit of excellence, creativity and grit inspires us. Investing in your companies has given millions a share in the bounty of American exceptionalism
Congratulations and thank you to Elon, Gwynne and the SpaceX team.
December 21, 2015 changed my thinking, my outlook, my life.
Science fiction became reality.
Impossible became late.
Was there one moment that stands out for you?
The Admin that most media keeps painting as favoring only “billionaires” is not only giving free money to our youngest, but also also ensuring our least favored - kids in foster care- will have a better future!
@FLOTUS & @USTreasury just announced “Foster the Future” initiative w @TrumpAccounts:
Calling upon all governors to auto-enroll all 330,000 children living in foster care w Trump Accounts.
All states should join this initiative!
