The roster limits issue has taken on a life of its own with objections filed by players, parents, coaches, and even attorneys. The whole situation is so confounding to me. Under previous rules, the NCAA dictated how many scholarships a program could have, however, they did not control rosters, which seemed an obvious issue to be left up to the individual programs. For some reason under the new revenue sharing model, they determine that “limiting scholarships“ was a potential antitrust violation so they increased scholarship dollars in some cases by double. However, in the process of doing this, they decided they would now take an unprecedented stance on limiting the number of roster spots for teams. How is it they felt limiting scholarship dollars was denying opportunity, but limiting roster spots was not? There is an enormous variance between the 350 D1 programs in terms of budgets and resources. It seems universities should be able to establish their own roster limits, if at all, based on their specific budgets, which would also allow case by case decisions such as a program changing transfer or a senior that gets hurt and wants to red shirt (as opposed to being forced to cut players in both situations under the proposed roster limit model). Roster limits should not be a hard and fast number with all the different scenarios nor should the NCAA be denying young athletes opportunities. That process and decision should be between the athlete and university.
Princeton Football mourns the loss of Tiger Bech ‘21.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and to all of the victims of the Bourbon Street attack.

@HURcoachdabb I don't think it's the athletes it's the coaches. 2 years ago I was running 48 now I run 45. Plenty of diamonds in the rough out there. Coaches attempt to coach everyone the same and it doesn't work. Some ppl need more volume others need more speed and weight room strength 🤷🏽♂️
Aight if you bout to pull out of worlds or get popped for drugs/missing test gon head and speak now or forever hold your peace 😂 lets just air all this out now
This is extremely unfortunate. When’s the last time a Division 1 NCAA Championship, in *ANY* sport was behind a paywall?
The paywall to watch track and field is only hurting the sport.
We, athletes, and the fans deserve better.
Congratulations to Kent Island High’s Rilyn Heyliger on winning the girls’ 500-meter title at Tuesday’s Class 2A state indoor track and field championships in 1:18.46. Bravo champ.#stardem
Girls really just post on their snap story and say “I want to go to Europe can anyone take me” and likely someone would
A man could absolutely never even contemplate having such privilege it’s insane
