Bill C-240 passed second reading unanimously, and that success belongs to everyone who helped champion it.
Thank you to all of the co-sponsors for your support, collaboration, and commitment to moving this legislation forward.
Asked the Liberal govt once again as to when they will initiate the review of the @NSICOPCanada Act that was supposed to commence before Oct 6, 2022! The Minister of Public Safety indicated it will happen this year. I'll be holding him to his word!
In recent weeks, the Prime Minister has said strong measures are in place to stop goods made with forced labour from entering Canada.
If that’s true, why is the government introducing this bill?

The Liberal government is shuttering 7 key agricultural research stations and experimental farms.
Canada will lose decades of critical research & data
This isn't right.
Sign my petition today and send a clear message to the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food:
Reverse these closures and protect Canada's agricultural future.

“Democracy Dies in Darkness”. Watch ⬇️ to see how Carney’s transactional majority has quickly moved to eliminate transparency, accountability, and oversight in Parliamentary Committees at a speed and scale not seen in a generation. #cdnpoli
Great to catch up with @Astro_Jeremy. Jeremy is a role model and inspiration for all Canadians. Proud to say I’m not surprised as his leadership was evident over 30 yrs ago while we were in 2 Sqn, Royal Military College. #TDV#ProPatria@rmccanadaalumni#Artemis@CanadianForces
As a Canada-Mercosur free trade agreement looms closer, Conservative MPs say the deal could hurt Canadian beef farmers.
“Beef farmers have publicly expressed concerns about the ongoing negotiations with Mercosur,” Bruce—Grey—Owen Sound, Ont., MP @alexruff17 said during Question Period on May 6. “They said, ‘This won't just hurt farmers — it will weaken rural communities and reduce Canada's ability to produce its own food. … In Ontario … where most imported beef enters the market, the impact on local farmers would be severe.’ Canadian beef producers are waiting to get more access in markets across the world. Should the Liberal government not be prioritizing export market access abroad instead of displacing the Canadian cattle industry at home?”

Our veterans have earned our support.
Inspired by veteran Cindy Weir and her service dogs, Gracie and Ghost, I introduced the Service Dogs for Veterans Act.
It would help ensure every Canadian veteran who needs a service dog can access one.
We owe them more than words. We owe them action.
UNACCEPTABLE.
We are studying Bill C-22 - a very contentious bill in Parliament.
During Committee study now, we learned that briefs submitted to members TWO WEEKS ago have not yet been translated. Problem: amendments to the bill were due YESTERDAY.
How can we do our jobs?
David Akin:
“Monday’s QP was the 123rd QP this Parliament.
Carney is not there (again). He's at a photo opp. He has been present for just 33 QPs or 26.8 %
Trudeau: Present for 51 (41.5%) of first 123 QPs.
Harper: 80 (65%) of his first 123 QPs”

This is exactly what making Parliament work looks like - all hands on deck for ideas to solve the economic crisis in this country. I hope the Prime Minister @MarkJCarney responds positively. We should never forget that almost half the voters chose @PierrePoilievre and support his ideas. They also want to help make the country prosperous.

Canada is in a full-blown recession.
Canada’s economy shrunk in three of the last four quarters & in the last two consecutive quarters.
By any metric, present or historical, that’s a full-blown recession.

BREAKING NEWS
Canada is the only G7 country in recession. Why? The Liberal govt has increased the industrial carbon tax, maintained anti-development laws & doubled the deficit.
All other G7 countries are facing the same issues with tariffs & the same global challenges.
IS THERE AN EV MANDATE OR NOT?
Either the Liberal Industry Minister can’t keep her story straight or she does not know what is happening inside her own department.
She said it was repealed. Industry leaders say it is still on the books and still causing problems for Canadian companies.
