Hi, I’m Alex!☺️
Sharing the journey from clueless newbie in 2021 → finally sticking to a playbook in 2025.
Lots of mistakes, lessons, and a veeery slow progress 🥲.
If you’re grinding and relating to the struggle, these are for you 🟥🟩
I'm doing a 20-day challenge to force me to respect ALL my rules. If I miss one, I start again.
June was disappointing. Even though system trades generated 22R, I had a million "just in case" trades. Unacceptable at this point.
So this is day1. Only trade of the day. $LHAI
@ZaStocks Having watched my family go through bankruptcy (and kinda recover) and seen life on both sides, people who say money isn’t necessary are naive (or VERY privileged). It’s not about being rich, it’s about options. Money gives you that.
@gfc4 Makes me wonder how much the intersection of genetics and personality drives success… in trading or any other endeavor. Like does COMT val/val (faster dopamine clearance) explain why NT types cluster here? Would love to see genetics layered onto this data someday 🤓
Started my playbook in 2024. Slow week for my plays so I went back through everything I saved back then and… deleted almost a third of it.
Setups I used to get excited about don’t even qualify as a setup anymore. Weird and cool to see the progress at the same time
@TradingComposur This is probably why it takes so long… and maybe longer the older you get. The beliefs are more ingrained. You’re not just learning trading, you’re unlearning years of conditioning first
@iresponsblylong Ha, watched this almost ALL day. Was looking for a sign of a little more vol so never entered :/ Chart looked good though. Still on WL for Monday (if doesn’t gap up over the weekend hah)
STI Marketing Team: Which trend should we jump on?
$STI CEO: Yes
Result: "Solidion Technology Unveils Patented Extreme-Climate Battery Technology Targeting Low Earth Orbit-Based Artificial Intelligence Data Centers, Lunar Economy, and Space"
Gotta love small caps😂
@wannabechamp Still getting there… I’m past being terrified of losses but I still hesitate on good setups sometimes, which is almost worse because I know the rules. The fear shifted but it didn’t disappear 🫠
@Investor_NICK_ True… nobody pushed tech sales in college.
In SF though it was a pretty common first job at startups. A lot of people I knew started in sales and later moved into other roles as the company grew.
@iresponsblylong Agree. I think sadly reflects today’s “quick fix” culture: Ozempic, cheap dopamine hits, get-rich-quick schemes…
Hard work and consistency feel increasingly rare. The gambling mindset in trading is just one symptom of that.
$ELPW Tried this one as well, but it didn't work. Thought it could be $CPOP symp, but couldn't stay above VWAP.
Didn't try anything else... to study this weekend🔖: $INHD $PAVS $RGNT $AHMA
🟥Red day. Wanted to take a stab at Chinas and picked the instant losers lol. I know small caps are volatile, but these are something else🥲, so risked 0.5R per trade.
$DBGI Only thing from WL that gave me an entry signal. Vol didn't come in as I wanted, but would take it again
$OCG PM trade. Looking back, the daily chart probably wasn't the most ideal. I thought maybe vol would come in and wanted to be 'first" since the move was just starting. Trading view doesn't show my pm executions🥲
The last stock I remember that ran over 4k% in the same day was OCTO ($ORBS now) on 9/8/25. I remember not watching it at the open cause the gap was "too much".
This time for $INHD, I usually don't trade stocks that start after market open. Still lots to learn and adjust 💪
🟩 $DEVS mixed feelings here. I had been watching this all PM, even thought about entering around $.61, but vol was too thin.
1. No reason to cut the trade! Was trying to avoid my full R
2. Saw vol coming in and tried again, sized to take a full R.
Week 23 recap: 4/5 green days. Week felt like it had more opps for longs.
Best trade $JZ: Liked the daily: weeks of sideways consolidation with low volume, holding $1.
Biggest miss was $BCDA. Saw the setup but hesitated. Still figuring out why that happens with certain trades.
Market context (micro-cap <$100M):
Green close rate bounced to 51% from 39% the week before. More tickers, more setups. Not a crazy tape, but workable if you were selective.
(asked @claudeai to do a little graph from my data... still playing around with this)
